2018 new year resolution

Hello 2018! Goals and Resolutions

Happy New Year!

I’m jumping on the new year resolution bandwagon and am getting super sappy about 2018 already. Why? First and foremost, i get married┬áthis year! Daniel and I tie the knot on Saturday, 20 October and plan to jet off the day after to a European holiday. It’s been our big project the last year and a bit, and I’m really excited for it.

What is my New Year Resolution?

I’m not usually one for new year resolutions, but this year I feel different and I have a few I’m taking note of:

  • Lose weight: A total cliche but also needed. The goal is to be a size 10 by the wedding.
  • Plan and book Europe: At this stage we’re looking at Bosnia, Turkey, Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, and France.
  • Improve my strength and fitness: This is related to point one but also its own goal in itself. Beyond just having a smaller dress size, I want to push my body to achieve more.
  • Get married!

How will I achieve these things?

Lose Weight + Improve Strength and Fitness

Daniel and I have started doing a Stronglifts program at the gym where we do a power-lifting workout every second night. Paired with an IIFYM eating plan, I should be looking fine in no time.

Plan and Book Europe

This one should be fun and easy. I love researching and booking holidays. We’ll be staying in a combination of hotels and AirBnb homes. The big part of this goal is that we would like to fly first class using our Velocity Points, so we’ll be accumulating those fast and hard before we book!

Get Married

Most of our planning is done! We’re waiting on our invite designs at the moment, and then we can work on distributing them. Woohoo! The big ticket items still on our to-do list include THE dress, suits, and finally, showing up and getting it done!

There’s a lot to look forward to this year, and I can’t wait to kick goals, and celebrate wins with my partner, family, and friends. I’d love to hear what other people want to achieve, so feel free to comment your goals so I can read through them.
